Individual Residential Building

The project area is located in one of the historical environments of Batumi, it can be said that if we consider Gogebashvili Street, which is located after the seashore, as the beginning of “Old Batumi”, then the project area is located at the end of “Old Batumi”. Despite the fact that the context is very interesting and characteristic, the general architectural style of the area immediately adjacent to the project area is still eclectic and we can hardly call it “historical architectural heritage”. According to the architectural concept, it was determined from the very beginning in which direction the appearance of the building would go and how the modern building would fit into the historically characteristic urban fabric in order to further strengthen the context of historical development and at the same time maintain its individuality. According to the existing regulations, the total usable height of the building should not exceed 15 meters. This height also became a prerequisite for the unique views of “Old Batumi” from the second, third and fourth floors of the building, which is why we wanted the diversity of views to become a key defining part of the building’s appearance. In the end, we got rectangular geometric floors from which the occupant would have the opportunity to enjoy the views of “Old Batumi” not only in one direction, but in different directions.
